IT'S GEM MINING TIME Cohutta Cove Style!! Relax & chill at our cool 50+ foot covered gem mining sluice! Now it's time to open up your dirt bag & get ready for some gem mining fun!
 

Now that you have your dirt bag in hand, have a seat at the gem mine & here’s what you do….

​

• Flip your sifter over.

 

• Remove the bag-tie on your dirt bag.​

​

• Pour some of your dirt into the sifter…

​

For best results, we recommend:

Pouring 1/3 bag at a time for the medium bags.

Pouring 1/4 bag at a time for the large bags.

 

• Grab the handles on your sifter & lower it down into the water..

 

• Let the water rise just above the dirt in your sifter.

 

• Shake your sifter gently up & down & side to side allowing the water to gradually wash away the dirt & reveal all your treasures!

• Keep doing that until you have no more dirt!

​

• ​Put all your treasures into your collection bag!!

Before you leave the gem mine…

​

• Turn your sifter upside down over the water just like you found it.

​

• Place your bag-tie & empty medium or large dirt bag into the green wire basket by the gem mining area!!
